Nina is a cheerful, naïve and kind of childish, twenty year old influencer from Auralia, the biggest floating city on Saturn. Her family is wealthy and rubs shoulders with the jet set. Nevertheless she has decided to take a more alternative path and create a human cuisine restaurant on Ganymede, currently one of the hottest spots on the solar system (although it’s not that close to the sun).
She actually believes she has flown the nest and embraced a brand new lifestyle but, the truth is, her parents gave her the money to open the restaurant and all of her alternative trendy friends are some more rich kids and wealthy posers.
Still, she is so infatuated with that version of herself she’s truly happy and excited about this new adventure.

IO, named in fact after one of Jupiter’s moons, is a Jupiterian of humble origins who cooked his way into high society. He’s worked at some of the best restaurants at the Great Red Spot.
He agreed to work at Nina’s Sopa de Ajo for a proper salary and because lately he's had his eye on vegan human cuisine (meaning they don’t cook humans but human food).
When he talked to Nina and heard she wanted to focus on Spanish cuisine for some reason, he was delighted because it was a brand new way to explore human flavour.
Of course IO would translate every tone and texture for the jupiterian palate. Everybody knows most of the aliens at this side of the asteroid belt, especially Jupiterians, love strong and lasting flavours like garlic.

Carmé’s real name is Carmen, after her mother, but when she moved to Jupiter she changed it after one of its moons, apparently is a common thing to name children after the asteroids that orbit the gas giant.
Carmen is the daughter of Carmen and Ellie a human and a martian. Ellie’s second name is Theodora so they first bonded over some jokes about E.T. (a terrestrial movie about aliens, it seems). Carmé’s roots were the reason Nina hired her as a waitress. She wanted to have a closer experience to terrestrials because she’s actually never been to Earth.
Carmé really wanted to get to know Nina because she is really famous and she admires her. Currently they get along well, but Carmé has begun to realize that Nina is not that much of an adult and lives in her parallel reality most of the time. Hard to work with but not hard to be friends with, fortunately.

Elisabeth Theodora or Lisitea to her friends, was born in Neptune but her family moved to Jupiter when she was still a kid. She met Nina at College.
Lisitea has plenty of character. Her family is quite wealthy but pays no attention to high society affairs.
She’s actually a quite successful DJ but she agreed to participate on Nina’s project because she is a true believer on the vegan cause (not eating humans). Also, her Neptunian roots allow her to manipulate liquid elements and that, my friends, makes her an amazing bartender.
